Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
2Pac - Buckshot - Steele

2Pac,Buckshot,Tek,Steele, & The Outlaws - One Nation These are the original recording's of the "One Nation" album. After Pac was released from prison in 96 he invited Buckshot & Smif N Wessun to his home on the West Coast to record an album to get the East & West reunited. For some reasons unknown the album was never released to the public. The cuts are a little rough but if your a big Pac & BCC fan you wont mind how raw it comes off. This is not for the average fan...only die hard headz will appreciate this joint. Smif N Wessun/9TH Wonder (Remix) EP This is a 5 track EP of Smif N Wessun tracks remixed by 9Th Wonder. This is weel worth a listen with the tracks Night Riders, Girls(With Sean Price), Fed Up(With Mary J), And my JAM the I Love You (Remix With Mary J).
Supreme - The Son Of Mary This is the better half of the Duck Down duo The Representitivz. I posted this way back in July when it came out but not to many headz where up on it then....It's a great Mixtape and deserves a download if your a BCC fan or not!
BCC And Justus League - North Carolina To Bucktown Another famous BCC & 9th Wonder callabo that way too many headz slept on. This has the feel of Buckshots Chemestry but with the entire BCC gettin there groove on...gotta peep this shit!!!
Starang Wondah - No Relation to Stevie This is a combo of new & old joints from everyones favorite Originoo Gun Clappa Starang Wondah. Im not sure why this head never mad a solo album. But if your a big OGC fan like my self it's a great taste of whats to come.
Rustee Jux - Slic Vic Da Ruler Rustee Jux is the next cat to blow out of the BCC. Buck, Sean Price, & Rock all drop a few verses on this mix CD. The beats are intoxicating & Jux's flow is on point. Ive been waiting for this cat to drop his solo joint for a minute....I heard it's comming some time after the new year. BEWARE OF THE JUX....kid is str8 Fire!!
(Passion Of The Price DVD part 1) (Passion Of The Price DVD part 2) This is an hour long DVD of The ODB of the BCC Ruck aka Sean P buggin the fuck out. It has some never before seen videos & interview on "the brokest rapper alive's" come up from Brownsville Brooklyn to the BCC stage.

Public Enemy....Hip Hops Most Dangerous Group!!

Hands Down PE is my favorite hip hop group of all time!!!These headz rewrote the rules of hip-hop, becoming the most influential and controversial rap group of the late '80s and, for many, the definitive rap group of all time. Building from Run-D.M.C.'s street-oriented beats and Boogie Down Productions' proto-gangsta rhyming, Public Enemy pioneered a variation of hardcore rap that was musically and politically revolutionary. With his powerful, authoritative baritone, lead rapper Chuck D rhymed about all kinds of social problems, particularly those plaguing the black community, often condoning revolutionary tactics and social activism. In the process, he directed hip-hop toward an explicitly self-aware, pro-black consciousness that became the culture's signature. Musically, Public Enemy were just as revolutionary, as their production team, the Bomb Squad, created a soundscape that relied on cut-and-paste techniques, unrecognizable samples, piercing sirens, relentless beats, and deep funk. It was chaotic and invigorating music, made all the more intoxicating by Chuck D's forceful vocals and the absurdist raps of his Hype man Flavor Flav.

Slam: The Soundtrack

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Slam: The Soundtrack (1998)
I bought this soundtrack back in the day on the stregth of Black Rob's debut single "I Dare You". It was one of those jams that just sat on my mind for months. Representing the old school, there's Q-Tip, Brand Nubian, and KRS-One, who teams up with Saul Williams, a noted spoken-word artist and the film's star, who has appeared on both the Lyricist Lounge, Volume One and Black Whole Styles compilations. Then there's Big Punisher, Goodie Mob, Black Rob, Mobb Deep, and a surprisingly catchy Flipmode Squad. Still, the spoken-word interludes, taken from the film and performed by Williams, Sonja Sohn, Jerome Goldman, and Bonz Malone, put most all of the MCs to shame with it's intensity.

1. Cake B (Interlude) - Bonz Malone
2. Sex, Money & Thugs - Big Punisher
3. World I Know [Country Livin' Version] - Esthero
4. Thug Poetry - Noreaga
5. I Dare You - Black Rob
6. Ain't No Stoppin' - Product
7. Psychopath Nut (Interlude)
8. Hey - Q-Tip
9. Park - Coolio
10. D.O.P.E. (Drugs Oppress People Everyday) - Dead Prez
11. Why (Interlude)
12. Feel My Gat Blow - Mobb Deep
13. I Can See - Cappadonna
14. Time Is Running Out - Brand Nubian
15. Run Free (Interlude) - Sonja Sohn
16. Take a Walk in My Shoes - Baby Sham
17. Ocean Within - KRS-One
18. Galactic Funk [Live from the Black Hole Mix] - DJ Spooky
19. Sha-Clack-Clack (Interlude) - Saul Williams

Some More Shit Ive Been Bumpin Lately

Group Home - Livin Proof In 1995 no one captured the sound of NY quite like Primo. He loaded this gem with his greatest beats and after all this time for a record like this to still be as revered and copied as it is, stands as a testament to his genius. From the thumping piano chords of "Livin' Proof" to the deep bassline on "Tha Realness", Preem can do no wrong.
Representativz - Angel Of Death "Alright it's time to show these niggaz who's the nicest Lyrics incisive I grip the mic like a vice grip " After spending a majority of their life growing up in Brooklyn, NY, MCs Lidu Rock and Supreme (From The Boot Camp Clik) Came more than correct on this debut Duck Down release.
Showbiz & AG - Runaway Slave I was happy to see the great KRS-One ranked this album #1 on top of his all time greatest hip hop records. Showbiz & A.G. brought a whole new style to the table, using upbeat, funky production layered with many horns and jazz samples without screaming jazz rap at you. The production is some of the best east coast production out there, it's so consistent and beautiful. Like with all the DITC albums, the lyricism is wonderful to listen to, always entertaining and often funny, always on a level you can feel.
Dj Premier - WBLS 107.5 Nov 11th 1994 This shit is just a little taste of DJ Premier live on WBLS 107.5 in the prime of his hip hop career. Tracks by The Roots ,Biggy, OC, Mobb Deep & so many more...go back in hip hop time & peep the master at work!!!!
Guru Presents - Illkids Records A rare collection of gems by Guru and his peoples. It features guests like Jeru, M.O.P, Group Home , and Bahamadia. Big Shug is on 2 tracks {Do what pays ya' & Momentum w/ Guru}. True Master from the wu shows up for a solo and truly brings that raw 95' wu style of beats.

Some Shit Ive Been Bumpin Latley....

These are just a few joints that have found there way back into my rotation the last few weeks. Some real slept classic albums & mixtapes ive grown to LOVE over the past few years....

El Da Sensei - The Unusual New Jersey honoree El Da Sensei from the group "Artifacts" has put together a project that epitomizes real raw hip-hop. Fifteen tracks, fifty two minutes of listening pleasure, remember those days? But being as he was prevalent in the golden era of hip-hop, when being a lyricist truly meant possessing a raw talent there is no reason why he would put out something that didn’t make us want to nod and smile smugly to ourselves.
Black Market Militia - Black Market Militia
Im a huge Tragedy fan so this was an automatic buy for me. Also a big Killah Priest and Timbo King fan, two really dope MC's that are better known for their Wu-affiliation but are doing big thangs on their own and drop alot of quality shit. I HIGHLY recommend this album for those who slept on it!! Sean Price - Dont Say Shit To Ruck Mixtape Sean P aka Ruck from Heltah Skeltah is one of my favorite artists from The Boot Camp Clik. I love his "Just Don't Give A Fuck" attitude. Drugs, Alcohol, Bitches, & his fun, party style of MCing is always welcome in my headphones & car stereo on the way to the bar. This Mixtape was the prelude to Munkey Barz...but plays like an official album release. Don't sleep on the "Brokest Rapper Alive" Redman - The Rare Remix Ep 12" 1. Tonight's Da Night Remix 2. Time 4 Sum Aksion Remix 3. Blow Ya Mind Remix 4.Rockafella Remix 5.. Whateva Man Remix

Da Beatminerz

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The 5 member Evil Dee & Mr. Walt along with Baby Paul, Rich Blak, & Chocolate Tye came together in the late '90s to rejuvenate hip-hop with their purist aesthetics, which looked back to the genre's pioneering New York-based producers rather than the contemporary synthesizer-based sounds that were suddenly becoming the norm. The five group members, led by brothers DJ Evil Dee and Mr. Walt, honed their beat-making skills individually before joining forces and crafting the collective's trademark "boom bap" sound: an emphasis on the bottom end, the bass lines, the hard kicks, and the snares.

PMD (Parrish Smith)

PMD, Parrish Smith (aka the Mic Doctor aka The Pee MD) One Half of the legendary hip hop group, EPMD (Eric and Parrish Makin Dollars) with Erick Sermon. The duo split in January of 1993, under controversial circumstances. According to interviews in The Source and Rap Pages, in late 1991, Smith’s house was burglarized by armed intruders. According to Smith, in the ensuing police investigation, one of the apprehended culprits supposedly gave up Sermon’s name as having allegedly paid them to do it. Sermon was arrested and briefly detained for questioning, but no charges were filed. They got back together for a few more album but the duo never regained that fire they had in the past.

Paris

Paris hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and was catapulted into the national scene in 1990 "The Devil Made Me Do It" and album of the same name. Since then his uncompromising stance on political issues and biting social commentary have both aided and hindered his quest to bring solid music and messages to the masses. When his second album, Sleeping With The Enemy was ready for release in 1992, Paris was dropped from now-defunct Tommy Boy Records and distributor Time Warner when they discovered its incendiary content - content which included fantasy revenge killings of then-President Bush and racist police officers. Rather than buckle under pressure, he released the LP himself on his newly-formed Scarface Records to major sales and national acclaim. http://www.guerrillafunk.com/paris/bio/index.html
