Redman

Why is it that when headz debate on who's the dopest rapper Redman never pops up in the conversation? Yea..he's a party rapper & he has never made a 5 Mic album...but to me Red is the most underated MC in the game. Some can argue he was the most consistant cat in the game since 1990. Ive always been a big fan of Reggie Noble & his tracks fit just right when u light up that blunt, sit back, & listen to the Boodah MC in his adventures as Superman Lover.

Redman paved the way for dudes like Eminem and Ludacris who took his style and ran wit it. Red is definetly one of the illest and most underated to do it. Thanks for the "Dare Iz a Darkside" fam

Most MCs pale in comparison to the Funk Doc. Although, I own(ed) all these, Whut? Thee Album mysteriously vanished from my cd collection. Pretty serious what some cats are willing to heist if given the oppertunity.

Looking forward to his new album.

redman is one of the illest lyricists all time, but also is very underrated, anonymous is right he did paved they way for ludacris for the way he raps and the way he makes his videos, but redman never get the props he that he deserves, also he was a hell of a producer,
Whut? Thee Album- this album is a classic, i mean he was just fresh, the production is as funky as somebody's armpit, very influenced by george clinton's production, myfavorite tracks are Time 4 Sum Aksion (i love that beat, for some reason it reminds me of the movie juice, makes me wanna put on my tims & hoodies and my jet black carhartt jacket, and i love the video, its just straight hood, and also what i love about this song is that it has that funky epmd bassline that i love), So Ruff Featuring DJ Scratch (i love this song, its using the flashlight sample, erick sermon got skillz when it comes to production, this songs is actually positive, its actually a aids awareness song,) Blow Your Mind- i love the video for this song, its such a dark video, u see hime reflecting on the red lights in the dark, that shit is gully, and whats carzy is that he spoke korean on the track (considering he is half-korean, i didn't even know he was half-korean), Hardcore (i love that beat, this song was actually on epmd's third album business as usual, and its also redman's first appearance on wax), Redman Meets Reggie Noble (i actually like this track alot, its original, he pulled the slick rick, redman is reggie noble's alter ego, but in this song they meet and they're havin a conversation, very original), Tonights Da Night- he flipped this sample so ill, i like the video too,
Blow Your Mind (remix)-i like the beat, I'm A Bad- i love that beat, it has that ruffneck flavor to it, using that ll cool j sample but they lowered the pitch to make it sound more sinister, A Day Of Sooperman Lover- very original, a ghetto superhero, what are the odds on that,
bottom line if u like redman or epmd or they're early production then this album is for you,

Dare Iz A Darkside- i love this album, the production is really really dark, it shows a very evil redman, but not in a satanic kind if way, what made buy this album was the song can't wait , and whats so special about this album is that redman had creative control on this album, and he did all of the production for the album, which explains the vibe of the album, erick sermon did produced 3 songs A Million And 1 Buddah Spots, Cosmic Slop, Can't Wait, and also made this album a cult classic, when people mention this album, people kind of shy away, and i'm pretty sure this album didn't get alot of airplay because none of these songs are filler material, my favorite cuts are Bobyahed2dis(that beat is so ill, it has a real sinister fell to it ,rockwilder also had his hands on the beat too, Rockafella (hot beat, the video is mad crazy lookin, it makes coney island look like a scary place to go to), Green Island (i love that sample, i can just imagine the video for this song, redman with his big ass afro in a deserted just chillin), Basically (it reminds me of something you would hear in a horror movie at a science lab, and that bassline is sick) Can't Wait (one of his best singles he ever made, this song is what made me buy this album, i love this song, i played this song non-stop for a good week, then i got tired of it, but what so good about this ong, is that if u haven't heard in a while, it sounds so good, and the video is ill too), Winicumuhround- this is just a grimy ass beat, i love it, it just has that muddy feel to it), Wuditlooklike- just grimy ass hell,Sooperman Luva II (to me is the best one of all of the sooperman luva as far as beats), We Run N.Y.- hot song, it has a real sinister feel to it) Tonight's Da Nite (Remix)- i like this version better than the original, it has more bounce to it.

Muddy Waters- this is the first redman album ive bought, it was my favorite hip hop album, still is, he just came back with a vengeance, he got more lyrical, and the beats are on point, my favorite cuts are Iz He 4 Real, Welcome-Interlude, Case Closed (this is one of my favorie songs on this album,), Pick It Up, On Fire, Creepin',Yesh Yesh Ya'll (it has a g-funk feel to it, i can see somebody like rasco or ras kass on this beat), What U Lookin' 4, Rollin' (this beat got so much bass its not even funny) and Da Ill Out (i love the beat on this shit, and you talk about lyrics, god damn jamal did his thing and keith murray too)
Doc's Da Name 2000- this album is actually the last album that he did good in, but some of the production is n't all that, erick sermon was kinda goin thriugh that phase where his production was kinda fadin out, he lost his spark, favorite cuts are Let Da Monkey Out,Cloze Ya Doorz (hot beat by erick, and these muthas are mad lyrical, jersey got talent, young zee , is mad ill, Da Goodness (i used to hear this song alot on my block), My Zone!,D.O.G.S. (went back to his roots on the p-funk beats, this beat is perfect for snoop), and I Got A Secret (using a nice jazz cut, different from what redman would use but i like it)
malpractice is not even worth mentioning, i was very dissapointed, but that lets get dirty was the shit when it first came out, bottome line redman is one of the illest of all time, but peole kinda shy away because of his goofiness, he's funny as hell but he's lyrical, and he very entertaining, hopefully his new album is hot, that's something i'd defintely cop, peace.
