The D&D Projects

In a sea of weak compilations, the D&D Project's are a shark to be watched for. Comming straight from the source, pure hip-hop's home, the legendary D&D Studio's, these album's bring the raw energy that has been missing in rap music. This time it showcases some of the young lable's fresh talent matched up over some of the best producers in the business. the d&d project has to be one of the illest compilation of underground jhip hop ive ever heard in a while, the production is as dark as goin inside the woods at midnight, my favorite tracks are 1, 2 Pass It (i like that bassline is bananas), that act up joint is official, that bassline, beatminerz can always make a sample so dark, i miss that style of production, Rude Boy is one of my favorite tracks on the album, for some reason that sample reminds me of something you would here on death wish, that 1974 film with charles bronson, it has that stalkin feel to it, they shouldve made an album, Look Alive is another banger, big c did her thing, i didn't even know diamond d made that beat, jersey got talent, people be sleepin on them, Blowin' Up The Spot, that shit is a banger, krs one can rap his ass off (even though he doesn't appear on this track) but he can also make sick beats, but lately he's been makin effortless albums, but he has some hot joints i heard this year, that funky piano sample and those hard drums just make u nod ya head, Nine Inches Hard, that beat is bananas, it has that chicago feel to it, i can just imagine just driving around the windy city in a cold sunny winter day and this beat will pop in my head, and last but not least is Mental Illness, those drums once again just compliment those horns, i like the concept too, u really don't here those kind of tracks of cats in the mental institutions,
bottom line if u like underground hip hop, hot beats and rhymes, then this album is for you, ur not gonna be able to find this album, unless if u go to those bargain stores if ur lucky, im trin tio find a copy my self, peace.
