O.C. (Omar Credle)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Born in Brooklyn in 1973, Omar Credle moved to Queens when he was 11. It just so happened he moved across the street from Pharoahe Monch. Monch & O.C. grew up together & stayed close friends even when Pharoahe's new group "Organized Konfusion" was starting to take off...So in 1991 Monch invited his childhood friend Omar to appear in the goups new video "Fudge Pudge". O.C.'s smooth, intelligent raps got himself a record deal. From then on "it's about to be on"!

o.c. is what you call underrated, his first album word...life to me is his best album,to me its the darker version of illmatic, the whole album is hot,my stand out tracks are word...life, the remix is crazy too, born 2 live, times up of course(i heard that beat was originally for pharoahe monch),constables,ga head,no main topic, let it slide (i love that jazz sample),and story (what a dark ass song).jewelz was a good album too he did his thing on this album,he had a couple of songs that sounded like filler material but they weren't, standout tracks are can't go wrong(that beat is sick),dangerous(the best person that used this sample),far from yours, stronjay, the crow(i love that beat),you and yours(i alos love this beat),its only right, and jewelz (lord finesse did his thing on the boards), the rest are good but not as good as the first two, there's also and ill interview with o.c. at this link,http://halftimeonline.com/hip-hop-icon-series/oc/ peace crooks.
