Mos Def & Talib Kwelli are Black Star
In 1998 hip hop veterans Mos Def and Talib Kwelli collaborated under the name Black Star and released what many consider some of the best work of both emcees. A majority of this classic is produced by Dj Hi-Tek along with tracks by Mr. Walt of Da Beatminerz and others. Common also contributes to the single "Respirtation". Highly recomended album.

i can't believe nobody posted comments for this album,i first heard this album in 10th grade (2002), when i heard it i was blown away, the way they flowed, the way they spit, this album is straight brooklyn, in all honesty they need to come out with another album, and this was before hi-tek kind of lost his touch, not that he lost it but its no the same, but lately he's been comin out wit some bangers, mos def's first album is a classic, reflection eternal is a hip hop clasi, quality was very good, and i liked beautiful struggle even though it was very slept on and its not as good as his first two but its better than the crap thats out now, stand out tracks are Definition, RE: DEFinition, Respiration, Thieves In The Night, and Twice Inna Lifetime (i love that beat a lot, it sound like somethin the fugees wouldve used for there album the score). sorry i haven't been postin coments lately, ive just been busy wit work, keep up the good work, peace.
