Capone & Noreaga
Capone (born Kiam Holley) and Noreaga (born Victor Santiago) grew up in the projects of Queensbridge and LeFrak City, respectively. When hip hop was getting blinged out in 97 with the mainstream MTV crap like Puff Daddy & Master P, CNN was one of the few groups that really held it down for me. The War Report is right behind other street classics such as Mobb Deep's Infamous, Raekwon's ..Cuban Link, and Nas' Illmatic. It boasts the buzz-gaining "L.A. L.A." w/ Mobb Deep and Tragedy, an answer record to the Dogg Pound's "NY NY". The production is straight raw beats provided by EZ Elpee, Buckwild, Lord Finesse, Clark Kent, Havoc from Mobb Deep, Marley Marl and Bay Boy Hitmen producers Nashiem Myrick & Carlos Broady, who produce The War Report favorites "T.O.N.Y." and "Driver's Seat". Also peep other War Report hits "Blood Money", "Stick You" & "Illegal Life".
The Reunion came out 3 years later and another stint in jail for Capone and the commercializing of NORE I didn't expect them to come back with this much fire. I was wrong. This album is as good as "The War Report" both are classics and great CD's. Guests are all fellow Queens rappers (Mobb Deep, Nas, Thugged Out Clique). There is a lot more Capone on this one then their debut which is good, and on all the songs both rappers are on them (except Pone's solo) unlike the first album. This one has more classics than the first but a few more songs that are just average, but the other songs are very well put together and are good or great songs. Production is handled by many people but they all do agood job, especially DJ Premier (as always). A must have classic album for the true hip hop headz.

CNN is definitely one of my favorite late '90s groups... The War Report is definitely a classic in my book, especially considering how weak hip hop was becoming around that time. The Reunion had some dope tracks too, like Invincible, All We Got Is Us, Queens Finest, and even Phonetime... but there were too many weak tracks for me to call the album a classic, although I definitely still play it quite a bit.
PEACE
You ever on NBS.com anymore CB4?
Naw, hardly ever.. I check in every now and then, but I just got bored with all the repetitive threads on there... besides you and a couple other people, it was all trash. I might start checkin in more, but probably not.
first off shout to queens (my borough) cnn is one of hip hop's underrated duo's, both albums are classics but ima have to go with the war report on this one, i love the dark production on this album, i was bumpin that album last night, then nore came out with his self titled album, and melvin flynt wasn't all that to me, and god's favorite was horrible, and now he's tryin to do the reggaeton, i understand that he's tryin to big up his people but thats not was he's known for, we need the old nore back, and when capone came out with his first album i had to cop the album but then when i listened to it i wasn't really feelin it, it didn't have the qb feel to it,and he tried makin southern songs and it really didn't work for him im sorry, and menace to society im not even gonna mention,i think if capone came out with his album back in the late 90's or ealry 2000's like 2000 or 2001, it wouldve been a big difference, because of the producers, it wouldve definetely have that qb feel to it,his cousin royal flush is underrated as hell, that ghetto millionaire album is a classic,i don't care what nobody says, check out that song movin on your weak productions (produced by da beatminerz) dat shit is bananas, that beat is hypnotic, that shit reminds me of cold winter morning in nyc all sunny and shit,my favorite tracks are the intro (that beat is ill), blood money, driver's seat, stick you (i used to blast this song all the time),parole violators (sounds like somethin havoc woudve made but tragedy khadafi did it mad props also sounds like somethin that wouldve been in hell on earth), live on live long, neva die alone, t.o.n.y, channel 10 (lord finesse did his thing), capone bone (i wouldve never expected that from marley marl it doesn't seem like his style sounds like he was experimenting, but i ain't amd at it), halfway thugs (sounds like something that wouldve been on hell on earth),la la (i give them mad props because they were one of the only cats that from ny that shot back at the west coast, illegal life (that beat is mad ill), and black gangstas, good lookin on puttin up this post, peace my dude.

Apparently Isako was just stealing links from a bunch of blogs including bustthefacts.blogspot.com, instead of upping his own music, so people got on him about it and I guess he deleted the blog. There's a ton of posts about it right here http://bustthefacts.blogspot.com/2006/09/links.html
I just found his new site, I guess he's gonna keep doing it, but this time upping his own links: http://isako-hardcorerap.blogspot.com/
